One of eight royal parks and a Grade I-listed London landmark, Hyde Park sprawls across 350 acres in the heart of Westminster. Since 1637 Londoners have come to row on the Serpentine, swim at the lido, ride the bridle paths and soapbox at Speakers' Corner. In summer the lawns fill with picnics and headline concerts; come winter, Winter Wonderland takes over. Free and open from dawn until midnight, it is the city's great green lung and an easy escape from the bustle.
